Dear Guests, Members and Supporters of the Balloon Museum:

It is February 10, 2024 a beautiful snowy day in NM. We have been planning the Balloon Museum benefit, Love is the Air for many weeks. And it is in careful consideration and with safety in mind, that we will cancel this evening’s Love is the Air Cocktail party.

With NM weather, we know the day may warm and skies clear later today, but we must also consider the large team of staff, crew and providers that would be asked to travel early and stay late.

We will process refunds early this week or we have many more wonderful opportunities coming up such as 4th of July and Balloon Fiesta, which tickets may be transferred to. We appreciate your support so very much and we will stay in touch with more Balloon Museum Foundation opportunities. Please be safe in this beautiful NM snow.

Love is in the Air: A Sunset Glow Cocktail Party

Experience a magical evening filled with love, philanthropy, and the charm of ballooning at the Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum. 

This unique event will take place at the Balloon Museum and as the sun sets over the volcanoes, guests will be treated to an unforgettable cocktail party featuring an array of delightful experiences, programming, and vendors. Weather permitting, the sky surrounding the breathtaking balcony will be adorned with radio controlled and full-sized balloons glowing gracefully through sunset.

CANCELATION AND RAIN CHECK POLICY Please read carefully. Refunds Due to high demand, there are no refunds once your Museum Dining Event order has been processed. There are no refunds or exchanges issued for unused tickets. If you are unable to attend your ticketed event, you may transfer your ticket(s) to someone else. The Sunset Glow Cocktail Party is held rain or shine. Refunds are not issued based on inflation of hot air balloons. Canceled Balloon Glow Occasionally the weather prohibits the inflation of balloons but most often when there are poor weather conditions, inflation or launch will be delayed. Museum Dining Events will stay open at these times, and your tickets are still valid, as the meal and other indoor services will still be offered. While the weather may occasionally prohibit a ballooning inflation or launch from taking place, it is rare that Museum Dining Events at the Balloon Museum will be closed entirely. The Museum Dining Event is primarily indoors allowing it to occur rain or shine. If the Balloon Museum area is deemed unsafe by weather or world events and by City Officials, or the area has been damaged by weather and management determines that it is not hospitable for service, Museum Dining Events may be canceled. If your Museum Dining Event is canceled, the following options are available: 1. Refund. If you are unable to attend another Museum Dining Events session and if due to extreme weather or world events and access to the Balloon Museum is not possible as determined by AIBF or City of Albuquerque, your tickets may be refunded. 2. Donation. You may donate your purchase to the Balloon Museum Foundation and a donation letter will be sent.
