Are you interested in hot air balloons? Do you like to meet people from all over the world? Would you like learning about a unique feature of Albuquerque’s history? Then we are the volunteer opportunity for you! Whether you are looking for a year-round gig or only during Balloon Fiesta, we have positions available for everyone!
Volunteer Opportunities
Our volunteers are an important and dedicated group crucial to Balloon Museum operations. We have volunteer opportunities for everyone – check out a few typical volunteer roles below!
- Special Event Support Crew: Assisting staff at special events that are held throughout the year at the Museum
- Early Childhood Education Helpers: Work with the Stories in the Sky team to provide programming for preschool aged visitors
- Shoppe Volunteer: Assist customers and stock merchandise
- Radio-Controlled (RC) Balloon Crew: Learn to crew for a ¼ scale hot air balloon for educational demonstrations
- Greeter: Welcome visitors to the Museum and provide them general information and assistance
- 4D Theater Usher: Manage flow of visitors into our interactive theater & stock 3D glasses
- Field Trip Volunteer: Support field trips as a host, activity leader/assistant, gallery guide, gallery attendant, or theater usher
