This year, we are thrilled to present an exhibit lineup that pays homage to the beauty, courage, and boundless human spirit of ballooning. From Bryce Risley’s mesmerizing “Focusing Beyond Balloons” photography exhibit, capturing the stories of the Albuquerque ballooning community, to the captivating tales of Ed Yost in “Forever Pushing the Envelope,” and the enchanting world of airships in “Dirigible Dreams,” our museum is a haven for enthusiasts and curious minds alike. Join us as we also delve into the exhilarating world of the Gordon Bennett World Long Distance Gas Balloon Championship and pay tribute to the legends inducted into the International Ballooning Hall of Fame.

Balloonists worldwide come together on November 21st to celebrate Montgolfier Day, marking the 240th anniversary of the first untethered hot air balloon flight with human passengers. Join us on a journey through the clouds as we revisit the awe-inspiring moment when François Pilatre de Rozier and François Laurent, Marquis d’Arlandes, embarked on the maiden voyage of the famous Montgolfier balloon. This pivotal event is showcased in the Balloon Museum’s exhibit, “The World Changed Forever.”
