Museum Dining Events

The Balloon Museum is located directly south of Balloon Fiesta Park. It is approximately a 5-7 minute walk from the entrance to the Balloon Museum to the southern entrance of the Balloon Fiesta Park.

 

Museum Dining Events offer an indoor/outdoor area away from the crowds, with delicious food and spectacular views of morning launches, evening glows and fireworks presented by Balloon Fiesta.

Balloon Fiesta Sessions & Museum Dining Events

What is a Balloon Fiesta Session? 

Balloon Fiesta Sessions are the balloon flying events or balloon glows that occur at Balloon Fiesta Park during Balloon Fiesta. There are 14 Balloon Fiesta Sessions, nine morning sessions and five evening sessions. 

 

What is a Museum Dining Event? 

A Museum Dining Event is the ticketed viewing and dining event held at the Balloon Museum while overlooking the neighboring Balloon Fiesta Sessions, The Museum Dining Events are  presented by the Balloon Museum Foundation. The Museum Dining Events are held simultaneously as the Balloon Fiesta Sessions. Museum Dining Events Tickets are priced per event. A separate ticket is required for each event.

Note that Museum Dining events are not offered on Oct. 3-4. 

DELICIOUS FOOD & DRINK

Morning Breakfast

Large, delicious American and New Mexican cuisine gourmet buffet with many fresh & hearty breakfast favorites including a VIP specialty: Heuvos Locos (a Balloon Fiesta season spin on Heuvos Rancheros). Plain to spicy red and green chile selections including homemade tortillas. Elegant coffee, hot chocolate & juice.  Food is provided by local favorite Garcia’s Kitchen who has been wowing visitors for ten years at the Balloon Museum.* Red Door Brewing provides the cocktails such as mimosas and Irish coffees.*

 

 

Evening Dinner

A grand selection of grilled to perfection sirloin, chicken and cauliflower steaks paired with exquisite sides. Our fantastic partner, Fogo de Chao provides a large selection including Shrimp Cocktail, salads, vegetables and potatoes. Dessert, fresh fruit and refreshing drinks round out the experience. Delicious and approachable for every palate yet with special touches for adventurous foodies.*   Local company, Red Door Brewing provides the beer, wine & cocktail options.

 *Due to the nature of seasonal supply, all food items are subject to slight changes and availability. We are not able to accommodate special menu request during this robust time. However, we make every effort to provide a selection of friendly menu items, including vegetarian, gluten-free and non-spicy options.

Base pricing for individuals

  • Adults: $200
  • Youth (4-16): $75
  • Add-on: Open Bar $25

Children ages 3 and under are free. 

Note: A convenience (ticketing) fee is applied to all tickets sold, $12.50 for Adult tickets and $5.63 for Youth tickets.

Parking and Transportation

PARKING PASSES
  • A Parking Pass is required to park at the Balloon Museum during Museum Dining Events.
  • Observation Deck Tickets include one parking pass for every four tickets purchased.
  • PLAN TO HAVE YOUR PARKING PASS AT LEAST 12 HOURS BEFORE YOUR SESSION. A parking pass is required to enter the Balloon Museum parking lot during sessions times. 
  • A hard-copy, individualized parking pass will be mailed at no additional charge via USPS first-class mail for orders received through Sept. 21

Beginning Sept. 22, passes are available

  • Will-Call at the Balloon Museum Gift Shoppe (No charge) during these hours:
    • Sept. 22 – 24, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Sept. 27 – 30, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Oct. 1 – 8, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  •  USPS Priority Shipping ($11.05)

  • Use a Courier Service. Please note that we cannot guarantee service by independent businesses. If you opt to hire them for delivery, you will be hiring them directly, and not through the Balloon Museum.

  • Lost or stolen parking passes cannot be replaced but you may purchase a replacement pass by calling 505-880-0500 or emailing contact@balloonmuseum.com
  • The parking pass is good for the Balloon Museum Lot only. Each parking pass has a map of how to drive to the Balloon Museum Lot. Please follow closely as traffic patterns are specific during Balloon Fiesta season. 

Help!  I’m on my way to the Museum and I forgot my parking pass! 

Don’t panic. Just follow the general public parking directions, where you will be directed to a Balloon Fiesta parking lot. A fee of $20 will be charged for each car. Cash only. Upon arrival, make your way to the south end of the field to the museum. 

ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS

Alternative transportation options are highly recommended to help reduce the number of vehicles on the road. See the Visit Albuquerque Transportation page for a list of self-drive alternatives to get in to Balloon Fiesta Park. 

Note that these alternatives do not deliver you directly to the Balloon Museum. Depending upon the drop-off location, some walking may be involved. 

ADA Information

  • The Observation Deck is indoors upstairs in the Balloon Museum. The museum and all indoor areas including the balcony are ADA accessible. Indoor museum restrooms are available.
  • The Balloon Museum and its exhibitions and gift shoppe are ADA accessible. 

Refunds & Cancellations

The Observation Deck is held RAIN, SHINE OR WIND. The meals and activities at the Observation Deck and the Balloon Museum proceed for all sessions regardless of fight status. Sales are final. Refunds or cancelations are not given based on the flight status of the hot air balloons. Please read our full cancellation policy
