General Information

Elevated Viewing Events

The Balloon Museum Foundation presents picturesque opportunities to enjoy the views of Balloon Fiesta above the crowds at the Balloon Museum. There are three tiers, three museum locations and three unforgettable dining and viewing experiences. The Balloon Museum is located directly south of Balloon Fiesta Park. It is approximately a 5-7 minute walk from the entrance to the Balloon Museum to the southern entrance of the Balloon Fiesta Park.

Elevated Viewing Events offer private areas away from the crowds that offer guests delicious food and spectacular views of morning launches, evening glows and fireworks presented by Balloon Fiesta.

The three tiers offer guests a choice of casual, mid and an ultra VIP experience.

Hours of Operation

Morning Sessions: 5:30 – 10:00 a.m.

Evening Sessions: 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.

  • The Topflight Atrium ticket tier is the only ticket level which comes with a Balloon Museum lot parking pass. For sales after 9/23, Parking passes must be picked up at Balloon Museum Shoppe prior to October 1.

  • There may be a limited number of parking passes for sale individually for the Hilltop or the Greens, however supply is extremely limited. For sales after 9/23, Parking passes must be picked up at Balloon Museum Shoppe prior to October 1.

Alternative transportation options are highly recommended to help reduce the number of vehicles on the road. Each method has different drop-off locations and costs. But Balloon Fiesta does a fantastic job of making many options available.

  • Park and Ride is an option which is provided by Balloon Fiesta. There are three locations around Albuquerque/Rio Rancho to park and then ride a bus to Balloon Fiesta Park. There are two east side locations (Hoffmantown & Coronado Center), these buses drop off at Balloon Fiesta Park, it is a 10 minute walk to the Balloon Museum from this drop off location. There is one west side location (Cottonwood mall), these buses drop very close to the Balloon Museum. It is a two minute walk to the Balloon Museum.

  • Bike Valet – there is a beautiful bike path to the Balloon Museum and Balloon Fiesta Park. Bike parking and valet is located on the Balloon Museum lawn.

  • Ride Shares.

  • DAY of Parking Passes – Balloon Fiesta sells day of parking passes on a first come first serve basis. There is ‘day of’ parking closer to the Balloon Museum. To access the parking lots closer to the Balloon Museum, you must approach Balloon Museum Drive from the west side (2nd street) heading east on Alameda, to turn left or right at Balloon Museum Drive. You can drive west on Alameda during ‘sessions’. If you approach from the east, you will be directed to parking lots on the north side of Balloon Fiesta Park, which is a 30 minute walk to the Balloon Museum.

  • Information regarding Park&Ride, Bike Valet, and Ride Shares, Day of Parking Passes can be found at www.balloonfiesta.com
