The Balloon Museum Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that believes in the power of the Balloon Museum to inspire visitors to do amazing things.
The Foundation hosts a variety of special events and unique community outreach activities throughout the year to nurture an appreciation of the history, science, and adventure of ballooning.
We carry out our work in collaboration with the Balloon Museum to ensure that they individually and collectively achieve maximum effect. It is our hope that by presenting and promoting the exhilarating sport of ballooning, the Foundation can help lift the Museum, Albuquerque, and the sport of ballooning to a higher place.
We’re officially lifting off into a season of celebration as we mark the kickoff of the 20th anniversary of the Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum! For two decades, we’ve been soaring high, inspiring wonder, and bringing the magic of ballooning to life.
When you view the Balloon Fiesta Event Schedule, you’ll see different names for the morning events – Mass Ascension, Double Balloon Launch and Competition, Flight of the Nations Mass Ascension, Special Shape Rodeo, and Farewell Mass Ascension. All of these morning fall into two basic launch formats:
– Mass Ascension
– Double Launch (Balloon Launch / Competitions)
